Ultralight Plantation Shutters
For those that still want a high-quality shutter and a great price, by reducing the options and colours, we can run larger quantities and negotiate special prices for all the materials. This way you get the same great shutter as our Ecosmart at a lower price.
Echosmart Plantation Shutters
Echosmart plantation shutters are the same as our ultralight with the only difference are the available options.
Our Echosmart range offers Invisible Supatilt so you have no visible tilt rods, 2 way closing blades allowing you to close up or down. Hint: Closing your blades down can help keep more heat in as the hot air hits the blades and redirects back into the room instead of seeping out the joins.
100% Water Resistance
Polymer shutters are excellent for wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, as high moisture levels do not affect the material.
While Timber is resistant to moisture, it may not be the best choice in very humid conditions.
Polymer shutters are also an optimal pick for households in coastal areas and around lakes or rivers where humidity levels are higher.
Efficient to Build
There is no arguing that polymer shutters are cheaper, and simpler to produce than timber or aluminium shutters.
The starting material is low cost, and the extrusion systems used make mass production easy.
The result is that Polymer shutters will be of a lower cost and a more economical choice if you are on a strict budget.
Colour and Styling Options
Echosmart is now available in 25 frame types and 15 colour options.
Also optional 63mm, 76mm,89mm, the most popular & 114mm blades.
Polymer plantation shutters are great for contemporary homes where a light modern styling is required.
Polymer shutters do not possess that same high strength to weight ratio as timber shutters. This means that if required to span long distances, they risk sagging in the middle. The factory has set limits on how wide we can make a panel and if wider panels are to be achieved; we recommend using a timber shutter.
We can mix and match and commonly install a mix of timber and polymer plantation shutters in a house.
Modern PVC plantation shutters made with polymers resist ultraviolet light to avoid fading or becoming brittle. However, Polymer is still only recommended for internal use. We can do external applications using our external paint, though we would highly recommend using our Aluminium plantation shutter range.
For external use, where directly exposed to the harsh Australian climate, it’s best to look at aluminium plantation shutters.
Polymer shutters provide remarkable insulating properties, being higher than both timber and aluminium. This is the reason Polymer shutters are becoming so popular.
The outstanding insulation properties make Polymer shutters an attractive choice if you are searching for something to help deal with your home’s energy efficiency during Summer and Winter.
Durability and Maintenance
Polymer shutters withstand rough handling by children and pets. Never rust or warp from moisture. They reinforced with aluminium rods to ensure they never sag. They require minimal maintenance. With their smooth surface, are easy to clean as needed.
Perfect for the contemporary busy home!
