Materials for Woodlore Shutters Grown & Manufactured In Australia
Woodlore is a synthetic product. It is constructed from an eco-friendly Engineered Wood Composite core and MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) made by Laminix Australia and extruded with a medical-grade polypropylene coating to give a smooth, even finish.
It lends itself very well to the manufacture of shutters and is able to be used for general window applications, or in conjunction with tracking for door applications.
As this product has a relatively high density, it is extremely hard and will take a knock extremely well.
This density makes it an excellent insulator providing a very high level of thermal resistance.
This will prevent heat loss in winter, and keep the room cooler in summer.
The energy savings and resulting in reduced heating/cooling costs can also be very beneficial.
Resistance To Warping
Due to its Engineered Wood Composite core, it is highly resistant to warping.
Woodlore in its raw state has a relatively low resistance to moisture, however, a high-quality coating is applied to ensure it is not adversely affected by moisture. Despite this, the product is still not suitable for use in a high moisture environment such as a bathroom.
Woodlore in its raw state is a mid-brown colour, with no grain pattern or direction. When coated It is available in 9 contemporary white and earthy colours.
Woodlore shutters are coated with a polypropylene coating they are not subject to colour change.
